A hometown coffee crawl is simple on purpose. You join a passport in your phone’s browser, visit participating shops, and collect one stamp at each stop. When the passport is full, you can claim that season’s completer prize while supplies last.
1. Find the trail
Start on the Puyallup Holiday Coffee Crawl. The season runs November 1 through December 31, 2026. The map helps you plan a loop that fits your morning.
2. Join a digital stamp passport
Tap join on the trail page and sign in with an email magic link. Your stamps and prize entries stay on that account. There are no Google or Apple SSO buttons and nothing to install from an app store — Hometown Crawls is the site itself.
3. Visit shops and stamp
At each café, scan the official QR or type the printed counter code from the tent card. Stamps are meant to be claimed in person. If the camera fails, the code still works. Buying something is the neighborly move: crawls exist so independent shops see new faces and familiar ones returning.
4. Track progress and finish
Your passport fills as stamps land. One stamp per shop per passport is the default. When every active stop is stamped, follow the trail’s claim steps for the completer prize. Prizes are seasonal and while supplies last — see prizes and rules for fair-play details.
Why “no app download” matters
Main-street visitors should not need another login wall or megabyte of storage to support local coffee. A browser passport keeps the barrier low for tourists, teens with limited phone space, and anyone who just wants a walk and a latte.
Tips for a good crawl day
- Check hours before you go; independent shops keep their own schedules.
- Start downtown and fan outward, or reverse if parking is easier on the edge.
- Be patient at peak times — staff are pouring drinks, not only scanning QRs.
- Never post counter codes online; shared secrets spoil the trail for everyone.
